    Wētā Workshop’s award-winning concept design and manufacturing facility has been making cool stuff for over 30 years, right here in Miramar, Wellington.


    Applying our innovative artistry to the worlds creative industries we take on project of any size, scope, or scale, from the earliest stages of creative development through to manufacture and delivery all over the world.

    We are seeking a Graphic Designer to bring their artistic flair and playfulness to Wētā’ s creative content! Imaginative, irreverent, experimental, with a touch of weird would be the perfect descriptions for your portfolio.

    As the Graphic Designer, you will work within our Media Production team, which collaborates with all divisions including Tourism, Consumer Products, Interactive, Design and Manufacture, Location Based Experiences and Corporate Services.


    What will you be doing?

    • Ensure the Wētā Workshop brand is cohesive, dynamic, and always exceptional to ensure all key stakeholders and client requirements are met to the highest standard
    • Proactively research, brainstorm and look for opportunities to further develop and enhance the Wētā Workshop brand
    • Develop and execute creative thinking through visual communication at Wētā Workshop
    • Work with stakeholders and attend client briefings and feedback sessions, answer questions, manage solutions, listen to concerns and work to find solutions and compromises
    • Present your ideas to internal and external clients and stakeholders
    • Manage the creative performance of direct reports, and ensure they are adhering to best practice systems

    What we’re looking for from you:

    • 5+ years’ graphic design experience across both screen and print, including web, print, video and advertising
    • Expertise in current graphic design practices, web standards, and design and web production software
    • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as a leader and mentor
    • Experience in managing tasks from start to finish, including liaising with internal and external partners to produce the final product
    • Project based time and budget management
    • Strong collaboration is a must
